with that in the U.S. |

Assignments:
Students
will be required to participate in seminars and
to keep a journal that documents comparisons within
and between countries visited with that of the
U.S. In addition, the journal will contain the
students’ responses and reaction to what
they have seen and experienced. Students may choose
to include the journal in a portfolio which documents
achievement of objectives through presentation
of photos and memorabilia.

| Evaluation:
Evaluation will be based upon participation in
seminars and activities, and completeness of the
journal. The journal must be submitted within
one week after the end of the course.
The
university grading system will be used
(A = 90-100, B = 80-89, C = 70-79, D = 60-69,
F = 59 and below; CR/NC).
Required Textbooks and Readings:
Handouts and articles will be assigned related
to the country (China) to be visited.

Fees
and Associated Costs:
Students must register for the course. Students
will be responsible for their own travel expenses.
Students
must purchase an international student identification
card and travel insurance.
The
course and student participation will adhere to
guidelines of the SFSU Office of International
Programs. |
